Jared Yates Sexton is a writer and political analyst whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Republic, Politico, The Daily Beast, Salon, The Globe and Mail, and is the author of three collections of short fiction, a novel, his account of the 2016 Presidential Election The People Are Going To Rise Like The Waters Upon Your Shore: A Story of American Rage, and the forthcoming book The Man They Wanted Me To Be: Toxic Masculinity and a Crisis of Our Own Making, available in May 2019 from Counterpoint Press. Currently he serves as an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Georgia Southern University.
